Zane grew up a cowboy in the beautiful mountains of Southern Colorado. His talent for directing was fostered at The University of Colorado at Denver where he directed over 20 short films between 2017 and 2021 when he graduated top of his class. He has won numerous awards on the festival circuit, including Best Action Short, Best Fantasy Short, and Best Director. He calls the best out of each actor and provides a strong and collaborative vision that every crew and cast member can support. The cohesiveness and charismatic energy Zane brings to each production he is a part of, combined with his quick thinking and thorough pre-production, ensure the smooth execution and creation of a unified vision and product.
His acting career began at seven with stage productions from small drama plays, to large-scale productions of The Nutcracker and the circus show Mythico. In 2017, he started acting for film, and has since performed in three feature films and 22 short films to date. Zane has also won three Best Actor awards for his work in the short films Seventh Wolf and Valhalla’s Forsaken.
Zane is also a skilled martial artist and wrestler. He has nine years of wrestling, five years of gymnastics and parkour, and nearly two-decades of taekwondo and kenpo training. These give him a unique and masterful movement style and aesthetic that enhances his projects and takes fights, chases, and even basic hits and falls to the next level.
